In addition to the falsity of the statements, the case worker failed to format the submission in accordance with both agency requirements and applicable court rules. Specifically, the submission omitted necessary identifying information and the required signature of the responsible case worker, resulting in a filing that was procedurally defective and not in compliance with governing standards. These actions suppressed and distorted material evidence essential to the defense, compromised the accuracy of the record, and obstructed the fair administration of justice. Under *Brady v. Maryland*, 373 U.S. 83 (1963), the prosecution is constitutionally required to disclose exculpatory and material evidence to the defense. Further, pursuant to *Kyles v. Whitley*, 514 U.S. 419, 437 (1995), knowledge of such evidence held by law enforcement officers, investigators, or other agents of the government is imputed to the prosecution. The failure to ensure disclosure in this case thus violated due process protections, impaired the defense’s ability to prepare, and undermined the integrity of the proceedings.
